"Blood Brothers" by Nora Roberts

Blood Brothers (Sign of Seven Trilogy, Book 1)
written by Nora Roberts was a little different than some of the other murder mystery books that I have read. It is book one of the Sign of Seven Trilogy. In the town of Hawkins Hollow, it's called THE SEVEN. Every seven years, on the seventh day of the seventh month, strange things happen. It began when three young boys went on a camping trip to the Pagan Stone. There they became blood brothers and unwittingly released a force bent on destruction. And twenty-one years later, it will end in a showdown between evil and the boys who have become men, and the women who love them. The strange happenings have given Hawkins Hollow the reputation of a village possessed. This modern day legend involves a reporter/author Quinn Black who hopes to make the eerie happenings the subject of her new book. She becomes involved with Caleb Hawkins and together they form the cornerstone of a group of men and women bound by fate, passion, and the fight against what is to come from out of the darkness.......
As I have found in other murder mystery books, the language is not always the best and I skip over some words as I am reading, but the story was attention getting and I enjoy most of Nora Roberts books. This book was different in that it was a fight against something supernatural rather than the police investigating and finding a killer. A good book to read that keeps you interested from beginning to end.
